You can add advanced field options to make your custom questions work harder for you and to assist in formatting.
Advanced Field Options
Category Tag
The category tag is used for additional formatting. You can create a bolded heading above your question. The title of the question acts in this case as a subheading. You can see an example of how you could use a category tag with an informational question type.
Instructional Text
The instructional text option allows you to add additional information underneath a question for clarification. See below - "Please only include experience from the last 5 years" is an example of instructional text.
Warning Text
The warning text option is similar to the instructional text option but formatted in yellow and at the same font size as the title.
Width
By default all custom questions are set to full width. You are able to select half width, third width or quarter width as required. These two questions below both have "half width" selected under advanced field options and therefore show next to each other.
Suppress Copying Answers From Previous Intakes
The software allows questions to be easily reused and when a user has filled out those questions previously it will automatically pre-fill if they register for an application with these questions again. If you do not want these answers to copy from previous intakes you can select this advanced field option for each individual question you wish to suppress.
Conditional
You can use the check box "Display field on conditional criteria" and the accompanying dropdown boxes to create conditions which are required to be filled before your question shows.
For example: You may wish to ask additional questions to a user who has answered "Yes" to the question "Does your child currently play AFL?"
All the questions in the collection have been created as below:
Under advanced field options the following conditional criteria needs to be added.
You can use the form preview to check if you have created the conditional field correctly.
As you can see below, the question "What position does your child play in AFL?" is only displayed when the user selects "Yes" to the previous question.
Still can't see your custom questions in your intake? You can troubleshoot here.
