I Can't Log In Using my Username and Password
Your username will be your school's Department of Education email address.
Log In Using a Email Sent to Your .det Account
Your username and password might not always be required. Schools receive notifications when a workflow item requiring their attention is outstanding. Principals are able to easily access the software by clicking on the link provided in the email to log in automatically.
Change My Password
If you would like to change your password you will need to contact your regional administrator. You are unable to change your password through the "Edit your Details" screen.
I Cannot Find a Particular Competition
Applying for competitions is easy but there are some restrictions to what competitions your school can enter.
Schools will only be able to see school based competitions which fulfill the following criteria:
- The competition must be open for applications
- The competition is classified as an "Open" intake as opposed to a progression intake, for example
- The school is within the region for this intake (i.e. Macarthur Girls High School is within the Sydney North sport region)
The Competition May be Closed for Applications
You may be unable to find a competition if it is closed for applications because the end date for the competition has passed. If you believe your regional administrator will accept late entries for a competition, then you should contact your administrator for further instructions.
The Competition May be a Ticket or Progression Intake
The software allows for administrators to create competitions which are only available to users who have been provided with a ticket to enter or for those who have progressed through a past competitions. These competitions will not be shown when you select "Apply for a School based Competition".
You can check with your regional administrators if you believe your competition is a ticket or progression intake.
The Competition is Outside Your School's Region
Schools are only able to apply to competitions within the region they are a part of. If you believe that you should be able to apply for a competition which is outside your region, please contact your regional administrator.
I'm Not Getting Any Emails
We understand that schools want to be contacted regularly regarding issues that require their attention but are also aware that too many notifications may be bothersome.
You can adjust your notification preferences under "Account Details". The default settings will send the school an email digest every day a relevant user submits an action requiring the school's attention.
You may have inadvertently set your notification preferences to suppress - if you would like to reset your preferences to the school default - please reference the image below:
I Accidentally Declined a Workflow Item
You may have accidentally declined a workflow item for a student or a teacher.
Teacher: If you have accidentally declined a teacher role or position application you must contact the teacher immediately and inform them of this mistake. The teacher will then be able to apply again for the teacher role or for the position.
Student: If you have accidentally declined a student's application you will need to contact your regional administrator.
